- Initial Prompt: “A dog walks into a spaceship.”
- Aspect Ratio & Resolution: Choose 16:9, then pick 5 or 10 seconds for the clip duration.
- Review Variations: Sora generates multiple versions—some are spot‑on, others might glitch or “hallucinate.”
After selecting the best start, I dive into Recut, a powerful feature allowing me to:
- Trim & Split: Keep only the best seconds, then split at the exact moment I want a new action.
- Add Prompt Mid‑Clip: “Dog turns left to the camera and licks it,” for instance, ensuring a smooth narrative flow.

Breaking Down the Output
After each recut, Sora produces an updated video that stitches your chosen segments together:
- Fine‑Tuning Actions: If the dog doesn’t move correctly, I split again and prompt “dog walks up the stairs.”
- Iterative Improvement: Sora might require multiple attempts (or “spams”) to get it right, especially if your scene is complex.
- Balancing Time & Creativity: Each prompt influences a few seconds of video, so planning your sequence length is crucial.
Practical Tips as You Scroll:
- Check Clip Duration: If you need more motion, extend from 5 to 10 seconds or even 20 seconds (Pro).
- Adapt to Glitches: If the AI’s scene jumps oddly, try more granular splits or shorter segments.
